It launches today on Facebook, and will be available for mobile phones and tablets before Christmas, although King has been testing it on Android in some countries already. Now it’s getting a sequel: Candy Crush Soda Saga. It has remained a fixture at the top of app store Top Grossing charts ever since. That’s just the latest startling figure for a game that launched for smartphones and tablets in November 2012. Candy Crush Saga players spent $790.1m within the game in the first six months of 2014 alone, according to publisher King’s financial results.
